I was so thrilled to be a participant in
The Ring
performance last evening 
I have been a huge fan of Ivan's work for years
here is a picture I took of one of his pieces at 
Art Basel Miami Beach in 2012
his light sculptures are not typical
this one is actually in a barrel, so that when you look down
it feels like the word is disappearing into infinity

Ivan has been collaborating with his wife Courtney
since they met 10 years ago and
they have been producing participatory performance
installations, like The Ring, since 2014
I was so lucky that I got to meet Ivan and his wife 
we had a wonderful conversation and Ivan gave us this book,
which he and Courtney signed, as a gift
The Ring
was curated by LAND (Los Angeles Nomadic Division)
and was held at The Garey Building 
in the LA Arts District
